LLL of Northern California & Hawaii

La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.

Membership in La Leche League International is $40 for one year. Membership fees help to support your local Group and the international organization. The benefits of membership include a one-year subscription to NEW BEGINNINGS magazine. Alameda members are also invited to attend monthly Enrichment Meetings on a variety of topics of interest to mothers.

La Leche League of Alameda offers:

All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Babies are always welcome at our meetings.

Meeting Information

LLL of Alameda meets on the third Wednesday of each month with a series beginning in January, May, and September. The December meeting is the second Wednesday. The meeting location rotates every four months so please call a Leader for current meeting information, or email at Jacobs15@alamedanet.net. Meetings begin at 10:00 AM. Please join us afterwards for refreshments and take time to browse our lending library of books on parenting, nutrition, childbirth, nursing and related subjects. Free breastfeeding counseling is provided by accredited La Leche League Leaders.

Leader Information

La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns.
