La Leche League
is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated
to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women
who want to breastfeed.
Membership in
La Leche League International is $40 for one year. Membership fees help
to support your local Group and the international organization. The
benefits of membership include a one-year subscription to NEW BEGINNINGS
magazine.

A Mother-to-Mother Support Group
Breastfeeding is a simple and natural process, but you may need support and information
on the correct positioning of the baby at the breast, working and breastfeeding, avoiding problems,
and overcoming any difficulties that may occur. Knowing other women who have breastfed their babies
can be helpful and reassuring. Having accurate, up-to-date information is also important. Being in
touch with La Leche League can give you the network of support you need.
La Leche League offers:
- A lending library of books on breastfeeding, childbirth, parenting, and nutrition
- Leaders accredited by La Leche League International
- The latest breastfeeding information
- 24 hour phone help

Leader Information
La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their
own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League
International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of
breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding
questions or concerns.
