Daytime Meetings
When: 10 a.m. on the third TUESDAY of the month

Toddler Meetings
When: 10:00 a.m. on the first FRIDAY of each month

Please note main library doors will be closed. Meeting room entrance is on your left side when facing the building.
Details: Special emphasis on nursing past the age of one. All are welcome.

Meeting Information

Any woman who is interested in breastfeeding is welcome at all meetings, as are babies and young children. Pregnant women are strongly encouraged to attend meetings.

Help Calls

Help Calls with a La Leche League Leader are always FREE. La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been instructed and accredited by La Leche League International to provide breastfeeding information, encouragement, suggestions and support to mothers and mothers-to-be who want to breastfeed. La Leche League Leaders are volunteers. Leaders are available for questions at meetings and mothers are welcome and encouraged to call a Leader at home to discuss her concerns on the telephone.

Sometimes, if a Leader feels a situation is beyond her expertise, she may suggest a mother see a professional Lactation Consultant for an in-person consultation. A consult with a professional Lactation Consultant usually requires that the mother pay a fee for the service. (There may be subsidized programs in some areas and occasionally, a mother can arrange to see a LC through her health care provider.) La Leche League is a separate organization from the International Lactation Consultant Association and receives no remuneration for referrals to private practice Lactation Consultants. When such referrals are made it is to provide mothers with information about the best assistance available to her.
