LLL of Northern California & Hawaii

La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed.

Membership in La Leche League International is $40 for one year. Membership fees help to support your local Group and the international organization. The benefits of membership include a one-year subscription to NEW BEGINNINGS magazine.

La Leche League of Santa Cruz, California

All breastfeeding mothers and mothers-to-be interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call one of our Leaders for breastfeeding help or information. Babies are always welcome at our meetings.

Meeting Information

  • Santa Cruz Mountains Day Meeting

    Meets the second Tuesday of each month at Highlands Park Senior Center, 8500 Highway 9, Ben Lomond, 10 to 11:30 am.

  • Santa Cruz Morning Meeting

    Meets the third Monday of each month at the Quaker Meeting House, 225 Rooney St., Santa Cruz, 10 to 11:30 am. From Highway 1, take the Morrissey St. exit. The Meeting House is on the inland side of the highway, right at the exit.

  • Santa Cruz Evening Meeting

    Meets the fourth Monday of each month at High Street Community Church, 850 High St., Santa Cruz, 6:30 to 8:00 pm. Next to Westlake Elementary School and First Congregational Church, just south of the main entrance to UCSC.

Lending Library:

Available at each meeting is an excellent library containing books on breastfeeding, pregnancy, birth, nutrition, and parenting. Our manual, THE WOMANLY ART OF BREASTFEEDING, recently revised, is available to borrow or purchase.

Leader Information

La Leche League Leaders are experienced mothers who have breastfed their own babies and who have been trained and accredited by La Leche League International to help mothers and mothers-to-be with all aspects of breastfeeding. They are available by phone whenever you have breastfeeding questions or concerns.
